THE KILL PEN
Every week, healthy horses are sold by the pound at auction and loaded onto trucks bound for slaughter. Many are young, sound, and trainable — they simply ran out of people who believed they were worth saving. A kill pen is the last stop. For most horses, there is no next one.
THE RESCUE
Every horse we save walks the same four steps.
